Family Vaca

My sister and I recently accompanied my parents to Sedona. Here are a few of our fabulous photos.

Road trip from Phoenix to Sedona.

Bell Rock.

First hike of the trip, Mesa airport.

Cool bridge.

Amazing views, all the way around.

The Grand Ol' Canyon!

Our hike after the Grand Canyon, we made it to the "end of trail."

Sedona is known for their "vortexes." The indication of a vortex is a twisted Juniper tree, and here it is.

We had dinner and a show at the Blazin' M Ranch. We can never pass up a good photo op.

Coco and Mom.

Checking out some old Indian ruins.

Slide rock, I would say that this was my favorite.

Our last hike of the trip. We started at the bridge and hiked down to this beautiful river.

View on the way back up.

Very much a whirlwind of a trip but we saw and did so much. My Mom jokes that Coren and I were their trainers, we never passed up a hike!
Thanks Mom and Dad for all the great memories and not to worry, there is always time to catch up on our sleep.

Conversation

Berg enjoys having pretend telephone conversations with his cousins. After a couple minutes of talking to Josh today, he begins to tell him good-bye.
Berg: Josh, I'll see you morrow.
Me: Berg, it's TO-morrow.
Berg: No, it's ONE-morrow.

My Grandma

This is a post for my own selfish reasons. I need to get my feelings out and I'm hoping that by writing them down I can feel a little bit better.
For those of you who don't know, this is a picture of my Grandma, we call her Nena. My Nena is very special to me; I have so many memories with and about my Nena.
Nena was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a few years back. Since then, we have been in disputes with my uncle regarding her finances and estate, blah, blah, blah...needless to say, we have all been through A LOT with one another.
Today, we found out that Nena has tumors in her abdomen and lungs. I know that she doesn't have much longer on this earth. I know, "I'll see her again," but, at this moment in time, it does not help me. I know it is the cycle of life and that Nena has had 83 great years on this earth.
I hate saying good-byes; I hate the ideas of good-byes. I already miss my grandma and she is still right here, 5 minutes away. So, until then, I will cherish my grandmother even more!!!

Sleepover

Berg has now come to the age where he loves going over Grandma and Grandpa's and spending the night. Husband and I are so thrilled to be able to go out and be worry free.
Berg always cries when it's time to go home, I'm sure it doesn't help that he's exhausted from so much playing.

Berg enjoyed playing in Grandpa's bug.

When Grandpa told BH that the bug would be his one day, he had to give it an inspection.

Cleaning the car with Grandpa.
Berg is such a big helper!

Easter

For Easter we went to my in laws for Easter Eve dinner. After a very yummy meal, all the grand kids had a Easter Egg hunt. Thanks to my brother in law, we have pictures.

Laura wanted some M&M's, we ended up digging through Bergs whole basket to find one.

Berg starting in on his loot.

I'm not sure why he's blowing on his starburst...

Look at them curls.

And some more candy...

and some more candy...

Got to love the mess chocolate makes. We were all loving the chocolate ring around Bergs mouth.

Zoo

With our weather being so wonderful lately, Coco and I decided to take our boys to the Dallas Zoo. We invited Gigi along for the ride, I'm not sure who had the most fun...

The Dallas zoo is being updated and the first redo was the Sahara area. It was amazing to see the elephants roaming in open fields and the giraffes and zebras were also a sight to see. Gigi purchased food to feed the giraffes, the boys loved feeding the animals and Berg wanted to, "get them."

Oscar being sweet to Gigi.

Gigi sprung for the merry-go-round.

Best picture of Berg, normally I can't push the camera button quick enough to catch him looking at me.

Oscar and Berg taking it all in.
